If you and your family love Chicken Tenders aka Chicken Strips, you will love this easy oven baked version of Crispy Parmesan Chicken Tenders. It only requires readily available ingredients and is very quick to make. Your kids can even make them and you don’t have to worry about any egg wash mixture with this recipe, as this recipe is for chicken strips without egg.
These are super healthy and since they are oven baked, they are not greasy at all.
Ingredients:
Please check for any allergies or sensitivities before trying this recipe.
For 10 chicken strips use 2 chicken breasts. Makes 5 strips per serving. Double recipe for 4 servings.
2 T Olive Oil
1 Cup Panko crumbs
1/2 tsp garlic powder or crush garlic
2 T grated parmesan cheese
2 tsp Tex Mex spice (or combination of 1 tsp chili powder, 1/2 oregano seasoning, 1/4 tsp paprika and 1/8 tsp salt)
1/2 tsp Italian Seasoning
1/4 tsp Cajun Seasoning
Instructions:
Slice each chicken breast into 5 equal sized strips. Mix together in a bowl the ingredients for the coating.
You probably noticed by now that I like Tex Mex spice. This is the one I use, but you can probably find one similar.
Pour mixture into a shallow pan and coat each strip liberally with the mixture by laying the chicken piece in the mixture and turning it over until fully coated. Place each strip on a flat parchment lined baking tray.
Bake for 30 minutes at 375 degrees. Test if done by cutting into one strip and ensure that the chicken breast is white, fully cooked, and not pink.
Serve chicken strips with your favorite dipping sauce, honey mustard, plum or chipotle.
