Here are some of my best Welsh Dresser Display Ideas, from my previous posts. I own two Welsh dressers, one is a larger traditional Welsh Dresser with 4 racks and made of lovely Oak. The 2nd is a smaller version, with 3 plate racks, a drawer area and storage underneath. Just lovely! I wish I would have had these sooner.
Here are some pictures of the two Welsh Dressers from a few of my displays. I have included the links to the posts or the YouTube video for each picture so you can see more details. I have lots more displays listed on my blog menu above, or on my YouTube channel.
I have includes some tips below with ideas for decorating a Welsh Dresser.
Below is my Brown Transferware Display:
Tip #1 – I like to create a central focus on my Welsh Dressers with either a large platter or as special teapot in the center of the display.
Tip #2 – I also like to put large platters, and other decorative items underneath.
Here is my Antique and Vintage White Ironstone Display in my smaller Welsh Dresser:
Tip #3 – In this example you can see alot of white doilies, which for me really dresses it up, if you like the vintage style.
Read my post on my Blue Willow and White Ironstone display. Again in this display, I created a focus with the platters in the middle as well as the lovely ironstone pitchers.
Tip #4 I also balanced each side with the matching plates and the teapots and tea cups and saucers.
For Christmas I dressed up my smaller Welsh Dresser with some Santa Mugs, as well as Red and White decor for my Christmas theme 🙂
Tip #5 – Stay true to your theme.
My Latest Royal Winton Chintz and Gold Display, post here Royal Winton Chintz Display, video available on my YouTube channel:
Tip #6 – You can mix styles, but be consistent, with multiples of each.
