Hi again! Okay this isn’t exactly a farmhouse recipe, but it is one of my favorite recipes to accompany any stir-fried meat and vegetables, with rice. It is home-made Japanese Steak Sauce + Stir Fry. This is a copycat Japanese Steak Sauce aka Sesame Sauce from a local Japanese restaurant!
We used to go to our local Japanese Steak House regularly. I would always order the prawns and chicken on the grill with vegetables and steak sauce. However due to some medical complications I can no longer go ‘underground’ in the basement restaurant where they were situated. This is due to a vestibular issue I have which can make me dizzy at high barometric pressure. Anyway, I had to figure out how to make their steak sauce myself.
This is my variation, as I generally go by taste and adjust accordingly. I hope you like it.
Keto Version
For a Keto version of this stir fry, just avoid the rice and carrots and serve with Cauliflower. So yummy! You can also add a variety of vegetables to this stir fry depending what you have on hand. Also beef or chicken is a great alternative.

Caution: Please check the ingredients for any allergies / food sensitivities, before trying this recipe.
2 T Tahini paste (generous)
6 T of Soy Sauce (more if needed)
3- 4 T of Mayonnaise (generous)
½ tsp Garlic Powder
½ tsp Paprika
¼ cup Water (less if you want thicker sauce)
¼ tsp Ginger (dry or fresh, optional)
Instructions:
Combine all the ingredients for the sesame steak sauce and stir well.
Taste to test and add a bit more soy sauce or mayonnaise as needed. Stir until smooth.
Cover and Chill in fridge until served
Serving Suggestions:
Serve this easy Japanese sesame sauce as a dipping sauce for your meats/fish or stir fried vegetables or on rice.
Served best with Chicken, Steak or Prawns stirfry meat or fish with 2 T butter, then 2 to 4 T of your favorite Unagi or Teriyaki sauce, until cooked.
Remove meat/fish from pan and add vegetables (of any type), stir fry until cooked, but not soggy with additional Teriyaki or Unagi sauce. Add back meat, stir and serve with rice and steak sauce on the side.
