Vintage Silver Plate = Elegance

I think vintage white or cream is so gorgeous and goes well with vintage silver plate. It adds a touch of romance to any display. Pair it with a bouquet of fresh flowers and it’s so eye catching. I love to add doilies to my displays as they just give it that extra finish and touch of vintage elegance.

French Country and White Porcelain Vintage

French County and White Porcelain is always a good choice for vintage country wedding ideas. You have so many options with vintage white, whether it’s candlesticks like in the vignette below, french white vintage pitchers and other porcelain, more doilies, and of course pearls!

Add Personal Items

Adding a touch of personal items, such as your grandmother’s vintage manicure set or a small needlepoint purse and vintage white gloves, are just so lovely. Pink is another good choice for a vintage country wedding, combined with vintage white lace.

Country Wedding Decor

And of course, a vintage country wedding will have lots of options to create decorate displays that match your color or theme. For example, you can create a photo area with a set of vintage chairs and drape over some lace or to make it clearly a his and hers display.

For some interest and fun, create a larger display combining some vintage ironstone, such as this white ironstone pitcher, an oil lamp, some picture frames, and old crates. This will give your display some height and get alot of attention. Also you can put this display on top of a table with a lace tablecloth. You can see I added pink doilies to give it more interest and color. My farm pig weathervane is another added touch that brings that country farm vibe to the display, along with the vintage white scale.

You could also display a treasured collection from your grandparents, such as this collection of vintage marbles and marble bag! Display it in a farmhouse tray with some other personal items and a vintage tin.

Another his and her chair idea, in this case I took two old painted chairs, very chippy, and added some doilies and lace and an old baby quilt with a display behind.

Vintage Travel Theme

The travel theme seems to be really big in a Vintage Country Wedding. I have seen lots of examples of globes, maps and luggage, which you can display together. Find some old photographs, an old family album if you have one, some maps, an old camera and poof!
