As some of you may have noticed, I have been adding my vintage and country collectibles to a rental inventory page, since I just can’t part with most of my stuff. Here are some vintage wedding decor ideas from my collection. I hope this will give you some ideas for your perfect day. I am enjoying being creative and displaying some of these items in various combinations.

Happy to share and hopefully give you some inspiration! I will keep adding more ideas as I create them. Don’t forget to check out my inventory of Vintage Rentals here.
Vintage Silver Plate = Elegance
I think vintage white or cream is so gorgeous and goes well with vintage silver plate. It adds a touch of romance to any display. Pair it with a bouquet of fresh flowers and it’s so eye catching. I love to add doilies to my displays as they just give it that extra finish and touch of vintage elegance.
These large silver plate trays can often be found at thrift stores and on the local marketplace.
French Country and White Porcelain Vintage
French County and White Porcelain is always a good choice for vintage country wedding ideas. You have so many options with vintage white, whether it’s candlesticks like in the vignette below, french white vintage pitchers and other porcelain, more doilies, and of course pearls!
YouTube video of this display on my YouTube Channel:
Below I used a milk glass hobnail candy dish, and some linen lace, with a fancy sandwich plate.
Here are some more French country style ironstone that you could add to any display to give it that vintage country wedding charm.
Generally at least 3 pieces together or more!
Create a grouping with a backdrop, such as a crate with lace and flowers.
Combine some white porcelain with some Battenburg Lace, a farmhouse crate, and some white Val D’Or china teapot and cream / sugar set.
Add Personal Items
Adding a touch of personal items, such as your grandmother’s vintage manicure set or a small needlepoint purse and vintage white gloves, are just so lovely. Pink is another good choice for a vintage country wedding, combined with vintage white lace.
In this example below, I created some height with a couple of crates, and then stacked the porcelain on top and in front, inside, etc.
Pink vintage china is a great way to add some romance to your afternoon tea time wedding.
Vintage embroidered linens are another easy addition to give that vintage feel.
With the love theme, these Vintage Valentine postcards are spot on.
Again, the personal touches, your grandmother’s white gloves, or a small jewelery box, more doilies, lace on a silver tray.
Blue Vintage
If you like blue, then you can easily find blue vintage porcelain, antiquarian books and pair these with other antiques such as a vintage Brownee camera.
In the example below I combined vintage his and hers shaving items in a display with an old crate as a backdrop.
These lovely Flow Blue and Blue Willow plates and china would be a good addition to a blue vintage display. A large platter is a super addition.
You can also find blue enamelware and old vintage bottles in assorted colors.
Country Wedding Decor
And of course, a vintage country wedding will have lots of options to create decorate displays that match your color or theme. For example, you can create a photo area with a set of vintage chairs and drape over some lace or to make it clearly a his and hers display.
For some interest and fun, create a larger display combining some vintage ironstone, such as this white ironstone pitcher, an oil lamp, some picture frames, and old crates. This will give your display some height and get alot of attention. Also you can put this display on top of a table with a lace tablecloth. You can see I added pink doilies to give it more interest and color. My farm pig weathervane is another added touch that brings that country farm vibe to the display, along with the vintage white scale.
This group of vintage irons looks good with more lace and country linens.
Washboards, lanterns and pitchforks add that country touch.
Throw in a Rooster…
In the display below, I added my grandparents 50th anniversary plate to the display. Hopefully, you can borrow some family wedding memorabilia. Vintage linens are so perfect.
Family Hobbies and Treasures
You could also display a treasured collection from your grandparents, such as this collection of vintage marbles and marble bag! Display it in a farmhouse tray with some other personal items and a vintage tin.
Another his and her chair idea, in this case I took two old painted chairs, very chippy, and added some doilies and lace and an old baby quilt with a display behind.
Vintage Washstand/Pitcher and Basin
These make a great vintage statement and add authenticity to your vintage themed wedding. Makes one think about a romantic old hotel that the couple will stay in on their honeymoon.
In the example below, I combined an Edwardian silver plate teaset with a silver plate candelabra, serving dishes and doilies, pearls and picture frames.
Vintage Travel Theme
The travel theme seems to be really big in a Vintage Country Wedding. I have seen lots of examples of globes, maps and luggage, which you can display together. Find some old photographs, an old family album if you have one, some maps, an old camera and poof!
