Hello! It’s been a very hectic summer and finally I have been able to get my house back in order. If you are following my Youtube channel you will have seen my latest Ironstone display in my Farmhouse hutch. This week in this Easy Fall Decorate with Me and Ironstone post, I have included some of my Easy Fall Decor Ideas that I used in my farmhouse hutch for fall. I have included new and old autumn decor pieces to dress up my ironstone collection in my hutch 🙂
How to cheaply decorate for fall?
Well of course to save money, I wanted to used some of my fall decor pieces from previous years. I had a good assortment of items such as artificial pumpkins, artificial flowers and leaves.
I also have been thrifting for several years, so most of my decor items have been thrifted. I try to go to the thrift stores and look on the marketplace early in the season. This year I found these lovely artificial bouquets at the local Homesense store and the Dollar store.
I have found many great fall decor pieces at thrift stores and garage sales over the years including my roosters, corn on the cob pieces and ironstone.
What is the trend in fall decor for 2025?
I wanted to also include some new colors in my display, such as a pink/orange bouquet of flowers and some green, with the acorn squash that I found at the grocery store. The natural greens, oranges and soft yellows are still on trend for 2025!
As well, I included the vintage doilies in orange and green, some wooden elements were still in my display, and all those lovely white ironstone pieces were perfect for fall. Vintage pieces add alot of textures to your decor and this trend of natural elements and different textures is still very on point.
Pumpkins, gourds and squash are all great choices for fall decor. In a previous fall display I used the light orange colored gourds and they were amazing.
Fall Decor with Vintage Ironstone
Vintage Ironstone is one of the best dinnerware options for Fall decor as it goes with everything! The pale white, soft shiny and faded crazing is just perfect for the authentic country farmhouse look and fall decor.
Many of the thrift stores will have older pieces of Ironstone that are mismatched and sometimes chipped but are incredibly stylish when you combine them together. You can find some real steals with often great pieces from English pottery factories such as Staffordshire, Myott and Johnson Bros. to name a few.
