Keto Almond Flour Garlic Bread

If you are doing Keto, you will love this recipe for Keto Almond Flour Garlic Bread / Almond Flour Focaccia. It is so good with a perfect blend of crunchy outside and soft inside, flavored with savory garlic and herbs. I found the original recipe in my Keto travels and modified this Keto Almond Garlic Bread recipe slightly to suit my taste.

Ingredients for Keto Almond Garlic Bread:

Caution: Please check the ingredients for any allergies / food sensitivities, before trying this recipe.

1 cup shredded mozzarella​

½ cup almond flour​

2 T cream cheese​

1/2 tsp garlic powder​ (or fresh minced)

1 tsp baking powder​

1/16 tsp salt​

1 egg​

1 T butter melted​

1 clove garlic​

1 T dried parsley​

1 T grated parmesan

Instructions for Keto Almond Garlic Bread / Almond Flour Focaccia:

Mix together the mozzarella cheese, almond flour, cream cheese, garlic powder, baking powder and salt in a glass bowl.​

Microwave for 1 minute. Add egg and stir.

Shape the dough by emptying bowl onto parchment lined baking sheet. Using your fingers, spread out the dough to about a ½ inch thick.  This is a little bit challenging as it is sticky dough. Grease fingers with olive oil, if needed.​

Mix the butter, garlic, parsley and parmesan in a cup and spread with a knife over top of bread.  This will be a thick coat of topping.  If you don’t like strong garlic flavour, you could use half the garlic and parsley.​

Other options for flavoring might include: Italian seasoning or Herb de Province, instead of Parsley. For a sweeter flavour, you could substitute cinnamon and a little honey for the garlic and parsley, and use less garlic in the bread dough.

Bake in preheated oven at 400 degrees for 17 minutes.​ It should look like this when it is done. It will be slightly brown around the edges, if you want that bit of crunch 🙂

Serve this Almond Meal Focaccia Bread with hummus or other dip!  I really enjoyed this bread with the hummus. It tasted so much like a restaurant focaccia with hummus. Alternatively, you could dip in olive oil and red wine vinegar.
