Here is my easy Pulled Pork Recipe with a smokey flavor. It’s so easy to make in the Crock Pot! We raised pigs on our farm, and at one point we had 300 pigs! But even so, I never had pulled pork until about 10 years ago! The sauce is so yummy!
I have been tweaking this recipe over the last few years. Here is my best pulled pork recipe which has all the smokey flavor it needs with a slight kick of chipotle. I hope you like it!
I usually buy either pork loin roast or pork tenderloin. For 4 people, a large pork tenderloin will be enough for one meal. If you want 2 meals, or leftovers, you could use a roast or 2 tenderloins. There is enough sauce in this recipe to cook both in.
The ingredients are easy and likely at hand. If you don’t want to use beer, you can substitute root beer and don’t bother adding the brown sugar. The chipotle is optional.
Ingredients for Slow Cooker Pulled Pork:

1 ½ – 2 1b large pork tenderloin or pork loin
1 small can tomato paste
1 beer of your choosing
2 bay leaves
3 cloves garlic, crushed
1 T brown sugar
1 tsp Paprika
1 T Coriander seed
1 T Italian seasoning
1 T Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp Dijon mustard
4 T BarBQ sauce
1 tsp Chipotle spice (optional)
To make this smokey pulled pork recipe, first add Pork Tenderloin or Pork Loin to Slow Cooker
In a separate bowl combine sauce ingredients.
Add sauce and Bay leaves to Slow Cooker
Cook for 5 – 6 hours on high heat, then on low for last 2 hours.
Remove Bay Leaves
Transfer meat from slow cooker to bowl
Using 2 forks, separate meat until stringy and no clumps
Transfer to serving dish, add 6 or 7 T sauce from slow cooker and mix, cover until ready to serve.
Serve with Easy Cabbage and Carrot Coleslaw and either buns or with lettuce leaves to make lettuce wraps. Beets are another good alternative, as well.
