My Vintage Teapot Collection – Part 1

I am in Teapot Heaven with my Vintage Teapot Collection – Part 1. This is a surprise collection that I have been working on (unintentionally) for the past 5 years. As I have been collecting vintage porcelain and china for several years now, I have been adding teapots along the way. I only realized in the last few months that I now have a pretty good sized teapot collection. Below is Part 1 of my Teapot Collection.

In this video I am going to show you half of my teapot collection that I have been slowly building so far.   When I retired in 2020 at the start of Covid and I started spending more time thrifting and collecting vintage antiques which was one of my bucket list items, I had no idea I would be building collections of antiques that I loved and expanding ones I had started a long time ago.   So of course I didn’t think I was going to end up with so many teapots over the last 5 years.   Most of them I have kept and have built small teasets around them, especially the ones that I really enjoy.

I think that’s they key to collecting, collect what you enjoy!  That way you don’t have to sell them but can enjoy them. Over time things you collect usually go up in value.

Let’s get started with Part 1 of my teapot collection!

• Royal Windsor Cottage Roses Coffee pot

• Royal Albert Blossom Time Coffee Pot

• Sadler Windsor everyday teapot with the floral pattern

• Small Royal Doulton Teapot with Purple Violets

• Georgian Arthur Woods Purple Violets Teapot

• Royal Albert Sweet Violets Teapot

• Radfords Crown China Purple Teapot

• Royal Park Staffordshire Purple violets child’s teapot

• Royal Albert American Beauty Teapot 2 cup smaller size

• Royal Albert Autum Roses Teapot

• Ridgeway Anniversary Rose Teapot

• Gibsons Georgian Pink Rose Teapot made in Staffordshire England

• Pink/Red Copeland Spode’s Tower in both the large Spode’s Tower Teapot and the small – 5 cup size – with the older maker’s mark

• Red Copeland Spode’s Tower smaller Teapot – and then the 2 cup size

• Johnson Brothers Ironstone Teapot in the Heritage pattern

I decided to divide them into groups mostly by color, for Part 1 I have mostly included the purple, pinks, and reds, and in Part 2 for the most part I will have the blue’s, such as blue will, brown transferware and yellow teapots.  I have included coffee pots in the collection, because well they are just lovely too!

Most of these are made in England, and I will show you the maker’s marks as we go in my video.

So here we go!
