Hi again, today my post is going to be a little different as I have been looking at items in my collections that I would like to keep or sell. I had started collecting some vintage Limoges plates about 3 years ago, as some had come up in a thrift haul online. So I wanted to check my Vintage Limoges Porcelain value out of curiosity, but also to help decide if I should hang on to it or not, or keep growing it.
Here is a picture of my current Vintage Limoges porcelain collection.

The Fragonard scene originated in the Limoges region of France and is a style of porcelain created in the 18th century. It depicts a typical romantic 18th centure courtyard scene. It is a well loved and sought after style of porcelain.
What do I have in my collection?
My collection includes alot of miniature Fragonard style or ‘courting lover’ patterned Limoge plates, in both the regular hand painted style and the cobalt blue plates, all with gold gilded edging and painting. They are just lovely!

I also have some trinket boxes and a small basket and Limoge vase, a cobalt blue Limoges tray. Here is the Limoges oval trinket box in Cobalt blue. Just gorgeous!

What is it worth?
I have detailed more about my Vintage Limoges porcelain collection on my Youtube channel, and provided a summary of what it is worth at the end of the video. I was a bit surprised at how these tiny little plates which are easy to collect and store can be worth so much once you start adding them up.
Limoges Porcelain Marks
Each piece should have an authentic mark for Limoges porcelain and these can very greatly. I have several different Limoges marks on my pieces and for the most part they are fairly recent, although some of my plates have an older vintage mark which I show in my video. I show all of my Limoges marks for each piece. Here is an example Limoges mark from one of my pieces. This one is the Limoges La Seynie mark.

I have included the list of Limoges marks from the Union de Fabricants de Porcelaine des Limoges, which is the most offical list I could find. There are several good Limoges collector websites which will have more detail on Limoges marks.

What was my decision?
Well you will need to watch the video to find out, lol, but I will give you a hint…The value of these little pieces is more than I expected. Ha ha, that could go either way, sell or keep.
I hope you enjoy collecting Limoges as much as I do and hopefully the information I provide in my video will give you a bit more info on Vintage Limoges porcelain value. Thank you!
🙂 Bonnie
