I have always loved Pink and Green together. So I have been planning to create a Vintage Pink and Green Hutch Display for awhile. I just had to consolidate a few more of my pieces and look for a couple more ‘bargains’ to add to the display 🙂

Here’s a sneak peak!
I was lucky I already had quite a bit of pink and green, including vintage pink and green doilies, vintage pink and green potholders and quite a few teacups! My plan was to find some lovely pink and green depression glass, but since these are highly collectible, the cost of depression glass can be quite dear. I did have some green depression glass that I found last summer on my trip to Saskatchewan.
Recent Pink and Green Finds:
I had found a small green depression glass plate with a pattern called “Florentine” in March to go with my St. Patrick’s Day collection at a local Vintage Fair for $5 CAD. When I got home I realized it matched my other larger oval plate.
I also had some vintage inkwells in green and antique bottles, books and teacups!
For pink, I did have a small trinket tray in pink depression glass, but needed to find some more. Fortunately, our local consignment store had a couple of pink depression glass items in their ‘reduced’ section! My luck! I got each plate for $7 CAD.
Here is the pink shelf, with a few of my pink teacups, posy’s and my growing Royal Albert American Beauty pattern!
The bottom shelf is dedicated to clear depression glass. There are a couple of heirloom pieces, with a serving tray and a couple older bowls from my mother. As well there is a cream and sugar in the Jeannette Homespun pattern. The creamer was from my grandmother, the sugar I found locally a few years back.
I had also found this vintage cream and sugar in Jeanette cubist pattern depression glass at a local thrift store for $5 CAD.
There are definitely deals to be found if you look around, are patient and not too fussy about what you get. For me, since I am creating new displays all the time, it makes sense not to spend to much on most of the pieces, but have a few central pieces that are ‘showpieces’.
