This year Easter will be a little different for all of us…and with recent COVID restrictions in our province we will definitely be staying home and trying to celebrate Easter on our own. I wish we could visit our home farm in Saskatchewan and celebrate Easter in the community church like years gone past. Oh well! At least the happy Easter bunny might make a visit!
Celebrations?
My husband and I will probably order in a meal on Easter Sunday, and I watch a live church service online, so that it feels a bit more like Easter. If you are making a turkey dinner, you might like my recipe for Country Turkey Stuffing, the way my Grandma made it.
We also have 3 birthdays in March and April around this time, so it’s always a bit busy. We celebrated our daughter’s birthday with just the 4 of us and her friend in the backyard, as we are still not allowed indoor gatherings. It was a treat to order in Chinese food and share that on the patio!
Our son’s birthday is next week so hopefully the weather will hold up for that and we can enjoy the patio again.
Enjoy the outdoors 🙂
I set up our outdoor patio with our firepit, outdoor couch, chairs, cushions and two umbrellas. The umbrella’s help keep the heat from the fire table in when the air gets a bit chilly at night. Drop me a line in the comments if you are planning any special Covid – Easter celebrations.
Once the weather warms up more and we have moved, I will add the outdoor mat, and some other decorative pieces.
Our lovely cat, Ember, is enjoying the sunny morning. She sometimes stays out all night, so in the morning I find her sleeping on this chair, waiting for me.
I couldn’t sleep this morning thinking about our big move ahead…We have alot coming up this month as we are downsizing into our new home at the end of April. We will be working on renovations there, refinishing floors, eventually painting the exterior with new windows, roof and gutters…lots of work ahead. I will be posting updates over the next few months.
Easter Music
I am definitely going to listen to some of the Easter Live Music specials this week through the weekend. Check out all the upcoming and free Live Music events on my calendar: Latest in Country Music – Live Music Calendar (link).
If you are in the mood for gospel music, I have some links for you in my online store with amazon listings at: Country Praise.
Easter is here!
I wanted to create a bit of an Easter display this morning for our dining table, beyond my Easter Blue and White Display (link) already posted (Don’t forget to check that out). It includes some of my blue willow porcelain and white china.
For the new table display below, I incorporated my new farmhouse pitchers that I found recently, along with some sweet little bunnies and a simple white Easter basket. The white hydrangeas just set it off so well. Hope you like it 🙂
The little easter bunny is peaking out of the basket, adorable!
Of course, we also have our own Easter Bunny, Peaches, who we love to bits. She has dental surgery next week…I will let you know how that goes, poor thing. Isn’t she cute in her Easter bunny outfit?
Hope you enjoyed this Happy Easter Bunny post! Happy Easter everyone! I hope you can still find a way to enjoy Easter in these challenging times. God bless!
🙂 Bonnie
